Does the RS7 have launch control yet? I have friend with a 2012 RS7 and he noted there was no launch control system....which means for the first few blocks, my little A3 walks away from him...LOL! Just wondering if and what year they did start it.

I find it hard to believe that you think your A3 would walk away from an RS7 just because it does not have launch control. My wife's A3 can even think about keeping up with my lowly S7. I doubt it would be any threat to an RS7....

My little A3 is a stage 3 mod...450 hp ina 3,000 lbs all wheel drive set up with a converted racing Haldex system...drops 1/4 miles in mid to high 10's. Yeah he was surprised too....

It's because the RS7 uses a ZF automatic transmission, not the dual clutch system of the S7.

Really?...I really like the RS7, but no DSG would prevent me from getting one then. That's one of Audi's best features. If you haven't tried a launch in a DSG....you should. There's nothing as much fun as lining up to some muscle car at the light...one foot on the brake, the other on the gas, rev steady at 4,500 rpm, light goes green, and quattro puts it on the ground.....gone!

Yeah, as I understand it, Audi's DSG used in the S6/7 apparently isn't able to hold the torque numbers produced by the RS models. I could be wrong, but that's what I've heard/seen.
