For those that live in states that require a front license plate (like California) how do you mount them?

If you **** off a cop with a legal but annoying manuver might earn a fix-it ticket. $25 if you replace the plate, or $200 if you don't.

Yeah, I know. Been living here almost 20 years with nary a front plate on (classic) Saab convertibles in yellow and red, a Panoz Roadster, a Lotus Seven, several Audis, etc. While I occasionally get a ticket if I park on the street and let a meter expire (less of a prob with Parkmobile these days), zero stops/tix from actual LEO. I have been flagged down for closer looks at the Lotus, Panoz, and R8. As you suggest, it's partly the attitude that gets brought to the interaction.
