Default How long from date of production to port?

Hi all, just got my production date for the RS7 almost fully loaded...can't wait. Now, how long will I have to wait is the question? I saw threads of some stories, but can anyone tell me how long post mfr date it will take to get to port? If it goes in Nov. 3, when will it hit state side? Thanks, appreciate the insight.

This should give you a fairly good idea:

My A8 goes into production next week (w/o 10/20)...Post-production schedule from Audi is as follows---

-ship loading on 11/4
-due at port (Rhode Island) on 11/14
-release to transport carrier on 11/19
-arrive at dealer on 11/24

Based on the above, figure 4 to 5 weeks following production week. In your case, looks like it'll probably be week of 12/1 or 12/8, based on production week of 11/3.

UPDATE-
The schedule happily moved up a bit...The car was assembled as targeted--- manufactured between 10/20 & 10/21 and passed factory inspection on 10/21.
Ship loading moved up to earlier date which now places the car's ETA at dealer 10 days earlier:

-ship loading on 10/27
-due at port (Rhode Island) on 11/6
-release to transport carrier on 11/11
-arrive at dealer on 11/14 (original ETA was 11/24)

Post production time line on my car now looks like it's closer to 3 weeks to dealer arrival. It all depends on how quickly the car catches a ship loading slot, as well as your dealer's distance from POE.

No problem. Ask your salesperson for a status update on your car's build order a week prior to scheduled production. It should show all the projected post-production event dates.

Yes, here we are almost 2015 and Audi steadfastly refuses to let their customers track their own orders. Checked with my salesman this evening and was pleasantly surprised to learn we had moved up two weeks from 12/29 to 12/15. Fingers crossed that holds, though I have had it slip before on other orders.

Interesting comment about tracking, I am supposedly signed up in the dealer tracking system to get email updates but I have yet to get one. I called the dealer and now it is scheduled to go to production on Nov 10 and should hit US port on Christmas. So, if I could get a two week pull forward as you did I'd have my car by Christmas...wouldn't that be a stocking stuffer!
