Should be a great look, but might be more maintenance issues than the brushed clear. Look at this.

Thanks for the info. Now I'm at a crossroad. I was so set on the black wheels. Then again, I have seen a Daytona RS7 with the same wheels as mine in the same finish before and it looked pretty good.

Maybe clear coated glossy black would stay clean. HRE does special finishes, like color anodize. I think the key is the clear coat.

^ lol

I've added a new gadget to my lazy guy wheel maintenance kit. The problem with canned air is the can gets cold and looses pressure. The solution is:

Hurricane Canless Air. Rechargeable battery. Wheels have gone 33 days since cleaning.

35 days and 1050 miles and brake dust won't blow off of the leading edge of a few spokes on the front wheels. Still looks good from a distance, but it's about time for a wash.

Car got a bath, and wheels got cleaned and sprayed. This time results weren't as good. A few areas collected dust that wouldn't blow off. The weather in CA has gotten a lot colder since the first Armor-all treatment last month, so I figured overnight drying wasn't enough.

A radiant (not fan) heater solves the problem.

Another bath, and wheel treatment. One spot didn't fully dry, with 2 hrs of heater and overnight dry. Had to drive early in the morning so messed things up. This spot was lowest point on wheel while drying. The protectant was thicker, so needed more time.

Maybe another heater, and split the job over two nights...

Here's what it looks like if you drive for an hour when not fully dry. Doesn't blow off.

^ I looked back on my posts and... yeah, I'm going to turn myself in for psychiatric evaluation. I promise.

But my wheels always look really good!! Sometimes I grab people in the Starbucks parking lot and say "Hey, look at my wheels." One guy punched me. I think he was driving a bimmer with RAC wheels.
