Default New RS7 arrived: now warranty question

Hi all, great day today as I finalized the paperwork for my 2015 RS7! Picking it up Monday and absolutely can't wait since I've had it on order for 3.5 months now. We fired it up in the shop and man, dynamic mode with sport exhaust is legit! Mounting my snow wheels and tires now (went Hartman 20" with Pirelli Sottozero Serie 3 245/40) and doing the fluid changes, wn she's ready to roll!

Question for other owners please around the warranty. I prebought Audi care as that was a no brainier, now trying to decide if I buy the Pure Protection. Basically this includes some wear items like break pads, wipers, belts and hoses, headlights, battery and one alignment session. The real question of whether to do it or not is rally around the break pads for me. I will do an alignment so that is $350, not sure how much pads are. I'm leasing for 45k miles, will I need pads in this time?

Appreciate feedback on whether the pads will last 45k miles or not. I will have some spirited driving but no track, etc.

Thanks, appreciate your experiences. Will post pictures and specs next week.

It depends on how often and how hard you stop. Frequent hard stops will wear the pads more quickly.

How was the lease like for the rs7? Did you get a chunk of msrp? How was the residual and MF for 15,ooo miles a year? Sorry of the question seems invasive. I'm currently in the market for an rs7 and wanted to see what the lease options are like. Thanks.

Congrats and post up some pics of the new ride.

Lease options varied greatly from dealer to dealer, major differences in money factors. Ended up with a MF of .00139 (equivalent of a 3.34% apr). Residual on 12k was 49%, 15k was 47%. Got it back to 49% on 15k if you add Audi Care package. Dealer was fair, we locked in my rate when I ordered it back in September and he gave better of two options, then vs. now, and money factor came down since then as did residual, so ended up with same payment and lower residual, all good if I end up buying it. I got 2500 off MSRP plus 2000 audi loyalty.

Thanks man. Very helpful info. Good luck with the car. Enjoy it. In terms of warranty. I purchased the audi extended warranty for my r8, decent price of $2,700 for an extra 5 years and up to 100,000 miles. Great piece of mind if you plan on holding on to it.

Saraojo, thanks for the feedback. The real question is how long the break pads will last. I will only have the car for 40-45k miles, no idea how fast they wear.

I see, I know of people with rs7s but since the car hasn't been out for that long they are still on the original pads. I also know someone with a 2013s6 with over Around 29,000 miles and haven't needed new pads yet. The car weighs similar to yours and his car is not tracked but is driven hard with a good mix of city, traffic and highway driving.

Perfect, thanks. I opted not to get that care package, seems like a hoax as i don't expect to need belts, hoses, battery in 45k. We'll see. One thing for sure...this car is NASTY fast. Over the last 4 months as I've been waiting for mine to arrive I've read all about the current owners' impressions of the power, but after experiencing it myself, it's unreal. I met up with a Panamera the other day on the interstate...for a couple seconds max...they look nice in the rearview mirror...hard to see as they get small fast though!

Your mirror is the safest place to look at that car. Much like Medusa, gazing straight upon it will turn you to stone.
