Clutch woes
I'm assuming I need to replace my clutch as I'm unable to get it in gear when the car's running...any suggestion on what to replace it with? Stock or performance?

Spoke to an Audi mechanic who said the clutch either works or doesn't, and while I can get it into gear when the car's not running, it's unshiftable after you turn the key
We did get hit with a Nor'easter today and I ran through a large puddle of water this morning...wonder if something got wet that shouldn't have and affected the clutch? Just a theory...

I recall another guy ran through some deep water a few months ago and had clutch problems. Check it out:

So assuming I can't resolve my car's predicament on my own and I go ahead with a full clutch replacement, in addition to installing a new pressure plate and disc, do I also need to get a new flywheel (or can I keep my old one)?

You're not going to believe this but...it appears that problem has resolved itself!
Things seem to be working again...I'm definitely going to keep an eye on things but I'm back to where I was before the problem started.
Not 100% sure what exactly was the root cause (nor the solution for that matter) but as for now, no parts or repairs seem to be needed.

Hmmmm just like that other dude in my linked thread. I'm still in the camp of pressure plate-to-flywheel rust-induced seizure. Just a guess but based upon how hard it is to bust loose my brakes after washing the wheels and letting then sit overnight...
