Well I took the plunge!

Crappy cell phone pics, but I literally drove it home and then had to take my truck to do work haha.

First orders of business:
  1. Get Summer Tires
  2. Full wash, buff, wax (some paint correction is needed)
  3. Go take it to an autocross this weekend!

I've got some questions about it now that I've driven it.
  1. The iPod integration, is there any way to get it to charge in the glovebox while it is running?
  2. Are there any updates for the Navi? It doesn't always quite seem to be accurate.
  3. Is there anyway to use voice commands to make calls off of my phone conneted through bluetooth?
  4. Every car has lowcost mods that really make a difference, what should I be looking at with this RS4?

I'm going to put an order in for a VAG-COM, leaning toward the wireless but I don't know if I want to spring the extra coin.

Glad to be a part of the family and I'm loving the car already!

Cheers,

~Mic

Congrats

You can look at the B7 A4 forum for info on mods for most of the electronics - also this link has some serious people who know a lot about the electronics: http://audiforum.us/

Looks great, congrats...!

Is this car lowered? The front looks a lot lower than mine (stock DRC).

She's bone stock aside from some tint.

It might be the angle and the tires.

Nice car! Congrats.
For question 4, what do you consider low cost? Are you looking for performance or cosmetics?

Mostly performance,

Cosmetics is up to preference, but I am probably going to either wrap or plasti dip the chrome parts!

For example, my old Evo and WRX both had night and day differences with a short shifter and some shift mounts.

Adding a rear sway bar to the Evo did wonders.

Things like that.

SS brake lines, also another relatively cheap thing that makes a big difference on track days.

You do know that the height is adjustable, right? Nevertheless, I flip mine up and out of the way. It just gets in the way. The storage compartment is handy though. I typically keep a small concealed carry in there.

You mean it can raise up, or that it locks as it rotates?

I know it can lock as it rotates, but if it actually lifts that's news to me!
