You would know someone if you had a wrecked 1960's Ferrari 250 GTO...

The shop I use is pretty good to me, so I don't think the downtime should be too long from their end.

I just have the feeling that the insurance is going to be a battle.

Got quoted just under 9.4k parts and labor, yikes...

I have a feeling the insurance company won't like that number!

Got her back from the shop yesterday. Almost two months of waiting just about killed me, especially during auto-cross season!

The exhaust took forever to get here because Milltek doesn't make the black tips anymore. We had to ship it state side, have it powder coated, and then ship it to my shop.

During that wait I had them go over all the chrome/aluminum in a satin black. Trim, mirror covers, trunk guard, etc.

I think it turned out pretty well,

I might take the paint off the front emblem, and just have all the badges be chrome. I'll have to run it for a bit before I make that decision!

So updates,

I got rear ended again, about a week or so after I got the car back from the first accident... Two times I've been hit after being stopped for over a minute.... Fun times...

Anyways on to progress,

Got her back in the middle of winter and immediately got a snow setup.

Nothing fancy but it got the job done,

What I'm really excited about is my progress towards a decent track/autocross setup.

I've done 3 autocrosses thus far, and though it's a lot of fun the weight of the car is very evident.

Decided that I wasn't going to do double duty for the summer tires and jumped on a nice set of track wheels to take on the task.

BC Forged RS41 with new concave face
18x10" ET25
5x112
18.0lbs

They will be paired with a set of Potenza RE-71Rs 275/35R18. Hopefully the beefier side walls will help a bit with the roll in going into corners.

The brakes are also on the list. Though the stock brakes did a great job, I fear pushing them on a track day would be a bit much. At the very least the stock fluid was starting to see its limit at an autocross.

I'll be running two sets of carbotech brakes and some motul RBF 600 fluid.

Street - Bobcats in the front and rear

Track - XP10s Font XP8s Rear.

Should be a fun setup, but I sadly won't be able to test it out till an autocross May 10th and then a track day May 16th.

Excited to see the new wheels on as well. It's going to kill me having them sit till May!

Those wheels look really nice. I'm a big fan of the 18's. Photos on the car when you get to it.

Sneak peak at the new wheels/tires,

Car is long overdue for a spring cleaning so I'll post more pics Saturday after I give it some TLC. Just in time for my autocross Sunday!
