Default Recommended upgrades while replacing a blown engine

Hi all,
This is my first post. I have enjoyed reading all of the posts about my dream car. I took my '08 to a track day a few weeks ago and although I don't think that I did anything to contribute, the engine blew. I have had a trusted mechanic look at it and he told me that one piston is completely disintegrated and the side of the cylinder is blown out along with other damage as a result of the failure. I love the car and am giving serious thought to replacing the engine, I just cannot bring myself to get rid of it. It makes me smile every time I drive it no matter what kind of mood I am in. Do you have any recommendations regarding upgrading the clutch or any other components while the shop is doing the engine swap?

Thank you

There are several made by aftermarket shops

Motor Mounts
Intake Manifold Flap Linkage Arms

PM me if you need more info on who makes them

Sorry to hear of your motor.

I think the factory clutch is very strong and the pedal is light. Lots of posts of folks "upgrading" the RS4 clutch and regretting it.

Sorry to hear - really hope your able to get her back on the road soon.

Having had my engine replaced not too long ago, I took the opportunity to also change the mounts, clutch kit, water pump, vacuum solenoid, and oil separator; along with various vent hoses and seals.
