RS4 Clutch toasted at the track
It's completely non operational now. Will not engage. Had to be towed to my mechanic. Has anyone else replaced the OEM clutch with something more suitable for the track? What did you get and how did you do with it? Car has 77K miles on it, 2007 RS4. Thanks.

Not sure it's not just the slave cylinder, but Berg Performance was there with all their techs and they were pretty sure the whole thing is toast. Plus it's a duplication of labor to do just the slave cylinder and then replace the clutch, so it may not be very cost effective. I had it towed there and they'll look at it on Monday

Yes it was really a track. High Plains Raceway. What's the matter, don't you think girls can drive RS4s at a race track? Here's a list of most of the tracks I've run: In my M3: Lime Rock (dozens of times), Watkins Glen, Mid Ohio, Pocono, Riverhead. In my 97 Porsche C4S: Stapleton, Second Creek, Pueblo, Lamar, Mead. In my RS4: Aspen Motorsports Park, High Plains Raceway, Pueblo, Golden State Police Track. How many have you run?

No offense intended. Burning up a clutch at the strip is far more common so I had to ask - mainly because so many people call a dragstrip a track, which it is not.
We road race on a race track
We drag race on a drag strip

First it wouldn't engage intermittently at Aspen Motorsports, and smelled like burning clutch. Then it calmed down when cool and was working OK. Bled with high temp fluid. At High Plains, clutch got stuck halfway down in one shift. Next session very difficult to press clutch pedal, difficult to shift. Smelled like burning clutch again Was like that until I was almost home and then the clutch pedal got stuck to the floor and it absolutely positively would not shift gears. Able to put into gear without clutch when it was off. Got home by putting it into first gear when off and then starting the car. It drove in 1st gear for the last mile, limping home. Towed to Berg Perf.
