04 S4 flashing engine light/rough idle pulled codes
So I start the car up and she's idling like crap. Engine light comes on and starts flashing. I pulled the following codes with VC.
16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0300 - 001 -
16692 - Cylinder 8
P0308 - 001 - Misfire Detected
16690 - Cylinder 6
P0306 - 001 - Misfire Detected
17755 - Camshaft Position Sensor 2 (G163) / Engine Speed Sensor (G28)
P1347 - 002 - Incor. Correl.
I swapped the 5 and 6, 7 and 8 coils to try and troubleshoot. Still go the random misfires, CPS 2, and cylinder 6 misfire. Number 8 misfire went away.
Did the timing chain jump a tooth, or is there anything else I should be checking? Thanks

need to check the cam position sensor first, then the solenoid.

no, but this may be good as is not getting a reading from the sensor.
possible the sensor has failed or lost connection.
you can swap the sensors very easy just to get it out of the way or test the sensor for resistance.
will go to the shop tomorrow and compare it to any of the 4.2 that come everyday
