Default 2005 Audi S4 light problems

So I'm a proud new owner of a 2005 Audi S4 cabriolet. Recently i noticed that my headlights are always on in AUTO mode and stay on when i put the switch on O. Also my rear view mirror and compass are not working what so ever, even when holding the power button for 10+ seconds. Idk if this is related to the issue but it says my center brake light is out and i havent had the time ti fix it yet. Also possibly unrelated, my high beams dont turn on when i push the lever away from me so if i want to leave them on i have to hold the lever towards me. Any ideas on whats going on?

Sounds like the headlight switch is bad, and you have a third brakelight out. Mine does the same thing, headlight constantly on in the off/auto positions. This might sound dumb but your headlight switch needs to be in the on position for them to work continuously. I also get a code out of mine that says light switch (E1 if I remember correctly) implausible signal. My rear mirror and compass were disconnected and I've never trouble shot them. I can't imagine they're connected, but it's low on my priority list.

Indeed, one of the best things to do is to check the codes (VAG-COM) and see if there's anything in there.
