Default 2005 S4 won't start - HELP

I am very new to the S4 world, today is my first day with the car. Picked it up, drove to my grandma's house to help her clean for a couple of hours. Went outside to leave and the car would not start. Tried a couple times nothing. Let it sit. Tried again, nothing. Left, let it sit for hours. Came back and still nothing.

It will crank, but will not start.

I have read on many forums and this seems to be quite common. Crank sensor usually seems to be the culprit. However most posts I read said that if they let the car sit, it would usually start.

I am really looking for some guidance here. I know the guy who I got it from, so should I see if this crank sensor repair will work or just get this thing out of my life ASAP?

Thank you.

Fuel pump?
Crank sensor?

Can anyone offer any suggestions or what they did when this happened to them?

could be anything, but by history of failures the fuel pump is the first in my list followed by the crank sensor.
easy to check the pump, for the sensor you need a scanner to see if reads engine rpm.

Yes, it turned out to be the fuel pump. I picked it up today and seems to be running fine.

Although on the way to work I noticed I was getting a speed sensor beep. I guess it was set to 80 mph.

I saw on some other forums you can reset it by holding the "check" button and also from the windshield wiper ****?
