2006 S4 Cab - blower motor
I have a 2006 S4 6MT cab. A true unicorn and I'm really fussy about who I let work on her. I rehabed the car last year with new tensioners, clutch, motor mounts, throttle body, and coil packs. Runs like a brand new Audi, only more fun because she has a clutch!.
But now, the blower motor has failed (100k miles) and my research online only shows A4 2.0T engines and not the S4 4.2L V8 that I have.
Question: where is the blower motor located? at the fire wall? under the shroud?
Next Question: is this a service item that a regular A/C place can do or is this a serious Audi only type of service?

First of all, congratulations on the car, great choice of car and maintenance!
The blower is located behind the glove box (#19 in the pic below). It is not terribly difficult to replace, however I believe that no matter how simple something is, if not perfectly done then there is always the possibility to not get it done properly/get something else damaged in the process.
If you are close to Los Angeles, I can help with the perfect replacement
