Default Is extended warranty worth it for B6 S4?

First of all hello to all audi enthusiasts here. I bought a 2005 S4 (B6) with 117k miles in 6MT from a dealer AS-IS. carfax showed 3 previous owner and some minor exterior replacements and maintenance records. the beast drives smooth like butter until a week after i have noticed the following problems:

1)Ticking noise that lasts 1-2 seconds at a cold start ( timing chain rattle like). but when the engine is warm, noise does not exist.

2) 2nd gear slipping/popping out to neutral at slow speed or slow turning or downhills. (gear synchro maybe?)

other than these 2, the beast is drive-able and i am planning of keeping these car for long terms. i am not mechanically inclined and after researching prevalent issues with high repair costs of B6 S4s, should i get an extended warranty? have anyone purchased a warranty at a 100k miles? an audi pure protection plan at an audi dealership in my area quoted me $3500 2 years of warranty. Endurance quoted me of $9k for 5 years.
what are your thoughts? any input is appreciated.

I'm very surprised any company would sell a warranty on a 11 year old car with over 100K miles. Even then, I seriously doubt they would cover any existing defects.

hmmm i will call on monday to talk to them again and see what is the plan all about and what do they cover but in that case, i guess i will just have to put some money aside for future repair costs. with those 2 problems that i have mentioned, i thought it would be smart to buy an aftermarket warranty before my car breaks down. just wondering if any have done this and what company did they use?

so i finally bought Fidelity (carchex) warranty for $4000 5 year/ 100k miles on top of my 118k miles suprisingly. knowing the 2 problems that i have mentioned will come down within 5 years at least i have a peace of mind that it will be covered. hoping the timing chain guides give out and the 2nd gear synchro. fidelity is also the aftermarket warranty offered by audi dealership in my area. so we will see how it goes.

Is that the Fidelity Platinum warranty for $4K or one of the others they offer?
