Hi all, this is my very 1st audi and I bought her completely standard. I've recently spent a few quid on all the extras including wheels and am very happy with the looks.
I'm just curious if there is any cheaper method to gain better sounds from the v8 engine via exhaust. I know you get the milltek system online for like £803 but was hoping for alternative way. Heard people talking about deleting both back boxes completely but still using stock tailpipes by joining with extra pipe lol. Think this is doo able?
If not I assume I'll be saving for milltek 😂

I deleted both pre-cats in my car and it sounds a little bit more guttural especially at lower rpm and its free. There is a procedure on it online.


I might recommend emailing JHM, they're hands down the B6/B7 V8 kings.

Congrats Damien, awesome car. I got one a month ago too and cannot be happier. Already took it in the canyons above LA (Cali of course ). I guess you're in GB (judging by the plate)...

I am also looking for an exhaust, because mine has both rear mufflers removed and replaced with straight pipes, I think also the mid mufflers are removed, can't remember now :P

Anyhow, overall I hate it and I am really looking into either OEM mufflers or milltek or the like. Why I hate it: up to 2.5k rpm it is a very nice rumble, but above that it is very quiet. So when you cruise it is loud and very bassy, but if you step on it it above 2.5k rpm you get nothing. WTF, I have no idea which idiot would do that .
Could be just a very badly done exhaust no idea, but I'm definitely changing it.

Let me know what you get, I'd be super interested.
Oh and on JHM, I would not be very trusty with them (you should know that they are my future competitor as I just moved to Cali to open an Audi tuning company ), still I think I am very objective guy. Best is to research them carefully as I read online that they did not do a great job on some S4 supercharger kit...
