Default soft when braking slowly

Hi all,

New here. I just got my 2nd B6 S4 and noticed that when braking slowly, I sometimes have to press the pedal all the way to the floor. But it works just fine when braking faster. It wasn't the case on my first S4. Both are 2005.

Could this be the brake bomb issue I read about? I have a stick shift though so there's no brake bomb right? At least when I opened up the fuse panel next to the driver door, there's no wiring for the brake vacuum.

Done several searched here and online but couldn't find anything that directly correlate to what I experience. Any thoughts?

A different thread suggested the master cylinder. I tried pressing the brake pedal when engine is off and I am able to build up pressure.

Thx in advance.
