Actually, I called my preferred dealer to work with and they contacted the other dealership and negotiated the rights to that car build. Luckily for me, it wasn't a sold car yet and just was a random order to put a car on the lot / showroom floor.

Tax- thanks for the form. Any idea about price increases yet?

When my wife (semi-) ordered her A6, we received a copy of an Audi order form that showed the invoice & retail prices for the car & the various options. Does anyone have one of those yet?

I had recently put down a deposit for a 2014 S4 manual, black on black with the black optic package. The car is suppose to arrive at the end of this month, but now I see the order guide available for the 2015. I am buying the car with an Audi Friends and family deal so technically I can get the 2014 or 2015 for the exact same price minus any year to year increases. Does it make sense to wait and get the 15 or should I just stick with the 14 at the end of this month. I'm assuming the 15 will take 3.5 months to get here and my dealer is also telling me contrary to the ordering guide, the 2015 won't have black optic as its been discontinued. Does anyone know that to be true?

Just have to mention that I saw Florett Silver in the flesh at the New York auto show (on a Q3), and thought that it was a great silver metallic. More flake than Ice Silver, and a tiny touch of blue. Great color. They also had an S4 there painted Daytona Grey which was also a great color on the B8 body.

From what I can see, there is literally no advantage to ordering a 2015 over a 2014 besides the new colors. If the color you want is only offered in 2015 and you don't want power rear sunshade, then 2015 it is. If not, 2014. Simple as that :-)

Looks like we can still get a manual transmission...that's a good thing. Especially for people who drive in the mountains. (Love the MT...never upshifts w/o my permission)

Does the '15 have the new MMI? Supposed to be an improvement. (Nothing wrong with the '14 MMI IMVHO)

How different is the Daytona Gray you saw compared to the Quartz Gray on your Q7? TIA.

If you can order the 2015 with the options you want for about the same price, I'd get the 2015 since the 2014 will be depreciated before you even receive it. If you can truly get the 2014 with black optic, that may be a reason to stick with the 2014. If you recently ordered you may not get it on the 2014 either unless the dealer picked one up already in production at the time of your order. There are numerous reports of people being told they won't get it even though it was ordered a while back and I believe it is no longer an option on the Audi web site for 2014's.

If the 2015's do have black optic, the wheels sound like they will differ. I believe the 2014 description was "5 arm rotor" and the 2015 description is "V-spoke design". Perhaps that is what your dealer meant by "discontinued" but I don't really know. Good luck!
