Wrong forum, but the MMI display will shut off if the battery is not charged up properly. The car shuts down various systems as the battery state of charge goes down to different levels. Charge the battery with the appropriate battery charger or drive a lot for a few days to see if the MMI display comes back. If you can't get the battery to charge up to 100% then time for a new battery. If you get a new battery, you will need to program the battery power management system with the new battery information or it will remember the old settings of the old low battery. Some say that the new battery will be learned over time without the coding but I have always used VCDS to recode a new battery so I can't say if the new battery will be learned properly without the new coding.

What year is the S4?

Right forum! Worst case scenario: take it to your dealer for service.
