Make sure you get that confirmed, since it usually goes 4 years from actual in-service date or 50k, whichever comes first.
A lot of people have used a guy named Troy that sells F-D warranty. They cost anywhere from 1500-3500 depending on plan and length of coverage.

Confirmed factory warranty until 12-28-16 or 7k more miles that will give me time to get after market warranty if I want

Just emailed him. It's not CPO because it has an aftermarket remote start. Happy about this since I'm in Colorado and it gets cold here in the winter!!

That's an expensive starter, lol! Seriously, sounds like you are getting all the right answers on it, good luck!

Do you know how to get a hold of "Troy that sells F-D warranty". I see some post saying they usually only resell though Audi dealers. I would love to get a quote direct. This reminds me of the Jake form State Farm commercials lol

From another post in other forum:

"I am buying audi pure protection plan from Troy Dietrich tdietrich@fd-warranty.com . I will order it next week when my car hits 9500 miles. It will be platinum plan 8 years from purchase 80k miles additional miles. In effect it is less than 8 years as my audi warranty does nor expire until Nov 10,2018. The cost is very reasonable $ 2707. MUCH CHEAPER than from my audi dealer. As I do less than 8k miles a year it is very reasonable. For you guys that do higher mileage 8y/120k is
$3916 . 8 years / 100 k is $3658. $100 deductible . Not trying to advertise him, but to let other board members know what is out there. You must have less that 10 K miles on the car to get the plans. The thought of my DSG or Sport differential going and the huge cost to replace them, it is worth the money ."

Default SD verification?

My understanding to know for sure is the menu item in the MMI for SD. Read this thread....

Am only an observer here, no prior experience/knowledge in this topic...but

I am surprised that ONLY a remote starter add on would prevent qualification for CPO status. It can't be penciled in as exception etc? ...if the dealer was trying.

Can you determine/contact previous owner to see what they did/think about the car?

(FYI, DSG tranny now requires service/fluid change at 45k miles...probably would be recommended in past but based on some stories of problems, was often not performed?) ... others will know more on this topic. In any case if it isn't clear it was done I'd do it yesterday.
