Yes you can buy an extended warranty from a third party. Fidelity and Zurich are often mentioned. I bought a Fidelity policy from FD Warranty at about 60% of the cost local dealers were charging for the same policy. You need to research extended warranties because the terms differ between policies and underwriters.
