ECU DSG Flash Changed RPM's
So a couple of months ago my dealer flashed my Comp Module to address a DSG TSB. Basically, my DSG would, once in a great while, act up in the low gears but only in Dynamic mode and from a dead start. It was rare when it did it but boy, you knew when it was misbehaving. The only way I could describe is when you have a driver who is learning how to drive stick for the 1st time and froma dead stop, he enages te clucth but doesnt know how to rev-match so your body thrusts back and forth as he's changing gears
Well, one thing I noticed prior to the flash is that while in Dynamic mode, the Tach would show about 200 RPM's higher than in comfort mode (cruising at the same mph in both modes). So 60 mph might be 2300 rpm in dynamic but in Comfort mode, 60 mph would drop to 2100 rpm. You could see it drop and rise switching from comfort to dynamic
After the flash, they were both the same. I'm kind of concerned as to whether I am now getting worse mpg in comfort mode. I should have made a note of the exaat RPM's in each mode, say, at 65 mph
