Lots and Lots of Carbon Fiber
I never thought I would actually do this. After much consideration and contemplation, I'm going to go ahead with the manufacture of "shift paddles" in carbon fiber for the S4 and any other Audi for that matter. I've drawn everything up and found a manufacturer within 25 miles of me who is willing to manufacture. I'm paying for all of the development costs and trial runs. He assures me that he can match the Carbon Atlas weave.
I'm putting this out as a feeler for anyone that may be interested in "Carbon Atlas Shift Paddles".
I"ll have to see what we can come to as a cost figure, but I'm going to take the Gallardo or 612 Scagletti paddles as inspiration for the shape. I'm figuring about $200 for a pair at production level. Let me know if anyone is interested.
