Default 2014 headlights

I just found out that the headlights on my 2014 sweep up and down once at start up. Is this just a start up thing like the needle sweep or is it the adaptive headlights, which I'm pretty sure I don't have.....

Prestige have adaptive headlights, Prem+ do not. In fact, adaptive headlights are the only option you cannot get with a Prem+. Otherwise, you can order a Prem+ with the same options as a Prestige.

It's the self-leveling feature of HID lights. Adjusts positioning based on weight etc. Almost all manufacturers do it, but of course the sweep pattern can vary.

+1

For the adaptive headlights to work lights must be in the "auto" mode. Very useful in the boondocks where there is a lack of street lighting and many wild animals roaming around. Like the Colorado mountains

Btw I did the numbers and it is less expensive to get a prestige than a Prem+ with all the options. Wanted adaptive lights so it was a no brainer.

At least for the current model year, Prem+ is over $2k cheaper than Prestige with the same options minus the adaptive lighting (which as someone mentioned you can't get with Prem+).

I also thought you could not get adaptive cruise control unless it was a prestige?
