Default 2014 S4 brakes replacement?

I have a bit of a dilemma here. I have a 2014 S4 with 19k miles on it. I only really drive it to work

OK, your title states brakes replacement and your post says a 'dilemma'. Please add more details as to why your brake replacement is a dilemma. Is this regular wear and tear brake replacement or brake parts turned bad and need replacement? Some extra details of what's happened to your car's brake system, your dilemma (i.e. why its is bothering you), and what you are looking for in terms of a solution. Without details, readers of your post won't be able to provide you with meaningful advice, tips, etc. Cheers!

Agree BUT, Replace the brakes with ceramics. You will eliminate the black brake dust AND the Brake squeal. Akebonos are very popular. Wearever Golds are probably the cheapest(Advanced Auto Parts). I put on Stoptech ceramics. BTW, you may need to replace the rotors as well.

I had Akebonos installed around the same mileages as the OP and have been very happy with them. Slightly less initial grab but oh so quiet and never a hint of brake dust. I was able to use my original rotors.

I recently put the stoptech stage 2 kit on my car (the version with street pads) and while this kit has been great on the past cars I've used it, I'm not at all pleased with it on my S4. The pads are much worse than factory for both initial grab, and also warm braking. Everything except canyon driving is clearly inferior to the factory brakes. Also after only 5000 miles they chatter very badly and I'll need to get my new rotors turned. I think I'll put on different pads at the same time.

Default After a long chat with Chris at Eurocode...

… we went with OEM replacements at 15,000 miles on our 2014 S4. We use the car heavily on weekends in the canyons and for that the Stage I or II upgrade would be great, but he said I would not like the feel for everyday use. The OEM setup is dusty, but fits the bill - even after a day in the mountains - a touch of fade, but no grabbiness around town. For me, that was an acceptable compromise…

Happy Motoring
