Default 2014 S4 - Tint Amp Removal

I know there are tons of threads on this subject, but not the exact answer. But I would like to know if once I remove the amp for tinting, will I need to have anything reset once I replace the amp? Should I remove any thing else in the rear prior to tinting? Speakers and such?

Thanks

I good tint shop will protect the amp from water running down the pillar. There should be no reason to remove it

The tint shop wanted me to sign a waiver on this issue. Im guessing they had an issue in the past and didnt want to be responsible, which I respect from that perspective. I just want to ensure that the amp doesn't get messed up. I don't mind removing it. If not, if I wrap it in some towels/plastic that seems to be sufficient. Is there anything else I should worry about?? Thanks!!

My shop didn't remove it or require a waiver. Personally, I'd find another shop. I wouldn't sign a waiver and would expect them to know how to install tint without damaging.

+1

Going to be looking at tints here shortly and no WAY would I sign a waiver to tell a shop that is SUPPOSED to know what they are doing if they screw up they aren't to blame.

If they aren't that confident in their work.....why would you be?

My guy just stuffed towels in there. He told me to take them out in 24-48 hours. No issues.
