I drive civilized 80% of the time, and practice my launching from stops and 0-60 times, a few times a day on the ride home from work if the roads are dry. I've been getting around 18 mpg. I expect that when spring hits and I throw the 19's back on, start driving it like it deserves, that I'll be getting ~14 mpg?

Hey, at least gas is cheap!
Picked my '15 up on November 13th, but have only driven about 1000 miles since then---combo of a really short commute (all city) and driving other vehicles in crappy conditions/to crappy locations (crappy roads on mountain bike trips etc)--I am getting about 16.5. Haven't gotten on it 100%, but certainly driving on the spirited side of things from time to time.

Are you going off the car's computer for mpg or actually checking mileage at fill-ups and doing the math yourself? I've never had good luck with Audi's internal computer calculations for MPG, they always seem off. YMMV! Ha ha

Gas is cheap, enjoy it!

I calculate the MPG by looking at trip computer mileage and number of gallons filled up.

It sounds like my mileage is not too shocking given my driving behavior. Thanks again for all of the great feedback!

your gas mialage will get better after your first oil change, but not 10 mpg.
I would go to the dealer and see what they say.

I used to have a 22-25 mile commute each way (highway). I averaged (by math - the computer overestimates) around 23 mpg. My commute now is around 5 miles daily and it's dropped to about 17-18 mpg. So yours seems a little low, but being so early in your ownership it'll still improving and maybe you're gassing it pretty hard right now!

Before upgrading to APR stage II + was getting consistently 20.5 -21 mpg with mix highway and city. Now I'm getting 18.5 mpg. Well, I maybe putting my foot a couple of inches further down ;-). I have MT.

I only drive about 8 miles to work but it's into downtown and all slow traffic during winter. 30-50mph and lots of stop and go. I get maybe 16mpg average. When I got the car the snow hadn't hit yet and work was a solid 60-70mph cruise and I could get 20-22 mpg.

The trip computer MPG is consistently "optimistic" by 8-12% whenever I check it vs. actual calculated results.

I get between 220 and 250 miles per tank depending on how much highway driving I do.

The S4 isn't considered a gas guzzler and doesn't require payment of the gas guzzler tax, right?
