Can't wait to put them on and get rid of the brake dust.

Changing rotors too? I've got 32k on my rotors and wondering if I should swap rotors along with pads. Would rather not. Any advice? Thanks

I've used Akebono ceramic pads on other cars. No complaints.
Trying to figure what's the better choice: Akebono or EBC red as I need to do all 4 wheels.

Any opinions?

If you buy anything else from RockAuto, search the net using "rockauto discount code" for 5% off your order. They send everyone the code in a email and ask that you share it with your friends.

How are you putting the rears on? Need the cord to release the electronic park brake. Also, I found that none of my local shops will install the pads that I purchased...I guess for liability concerns (I call BS, but whatever). I was able to get the front pads installed by a friend, but my rear pads are still sitting in the box.

You need VagCom software for rear pad installation.

I've been using the Akebonos for I think a year now as I too got tired of the dust. Changed to Zimmerman rotors as well (wish I went with the drilled for the look anyhow) . Have a thread on it with some pics of the brake dust, or lack thereof. Definitely noticed a difference in bite on the pads, but like them better (not as jerky). But thr fact that I can go months without cleaning my tires (eg this past winter) makes the pads worth it, even if I didn't need to change them at the time.

Seeing my shiny rims turn black after a few hours of driving was just too aggravating.

I didn't change rotors when I did my pads but I only had 14k miles on them (changed the pads strictly because of the dust). I know it's recommended but it's not absolutely necessary unless your rotors are warped or grooved.

^ This. Although the guys that make the Carista app have said they will be adding this feature to the app. Hopefully it's sooner rather than later as I'd like to be able to change my rear pads soon.

How does the Textar ePad (Ceramic) stack up against the Akebono's?
