Which All Seasons do you recommend on the stock 19s?

First of all, expect some comments that they all suck. BUT, I have been doing my own research based on my need for replacement A/S tires in the spring. I have been running A/s tires on my 3 of my 4 S4s since 2004. There are a couple of better ones. If you are looking for the best dry weather performance then the Michelin Pilot sports A/S 3 are your best bet. But they are definitely not the best winter tire of the bunch. Many like the Conti Extreme Contacts that are less expensive and have better ice and snow performance. The knock on these are the sidewalls are not as stiff as others which gives poorer dry weather handling. Good treadwear rating though . I had the General G max Ao3s on my 2010, but not for very long. The gripe with those tires is that they become EXTREMELY noisy after they get some miles on them. My current car has the Bridgestone Potenzas RE 960 A/S tires on them. They were on the car when I bought it used and 1/2 worn down. Haven't driven in snow with them, but I cannot recommend them. I am currently thinking of buying Hankook Ventus S1 noble 2 A/s tires. Decent summer and winter performance with decent tread wear and about $50/tire less than Michelins Again, better winter performance worse dry weather performance than the Michelins,Goodyear eagle f1s also get a good rating from Tire rack. Currently on sale from Tirerack for $185/tire. Check out they comparisons: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/survey...jsp?type=UHPAS

I have the Michelin pilot sport a/s and like them. I still put my winter Dunlop D3's for the heavy stuff here in MN. My Pirelli's wore out too soon and I wanted a tire that could to fine in the shoulder seasons and light snow. The summer Pirelli tires are really scary in light snow.
I know the all season Michelins are not as good as summer performance tires but for the piece of mind in the cold is worth it.

My best experience with all-seasons has been with the Continental DWS.

wear on Mich AS3 may be less than SS Pilots for 19" ; ran two sets of the Pilot SS Plus to 45kmis including a x-country trip w/ a A8 D3 ; AS3 may be quiet but the wear is better and not so noisy on the P SS Plus

Just got the Pilot A/S 3's. I've only driven them a few hundred miles but so far very pleased. Excellent wet traction (even in colder temps). Haven't tried them in the snow or thrown them into a dry corner yet though.
