That when you twist the sunroof dial to max, it opens only about 4/5ths of the way? Once it stops, twist the **** all the way again, it will open to expose the remainder of the sunroof opening.

Probably in the manual...I admit that I probably didn't fully explore the sunroof page

That's because that's the recommended amount you open it. Supposedly opening it fully causes strange wind dynamics and such. I forget the exact details, but Audi recommends you only open it to that point.

Yeah, that default opening position is kind of the "quiet" position.

Yeah, it's the same on my Q7.

I guess that I am not the only one to ignore the recommendations. I believe got Audi a lot of complaints about wind buffeting the interior if the sunroof was fully opened and the windows closed. I have had that issue with my 2002 A6 and other cars as well. The solution was just to close the roof slightly or crack open a window. So instead of having the sunroof go fully open automatically, it goes to 4/5 open where there is no buffeting. Those who desire can open it completely.

And then you don't get the message to close sunroof!

Yes, you are the ONLY person who didn't know that (just kidding).
