Hi,

I have acoustic rear parking sensors, but not visual. In the brochure(UK) I see there was a £320 option called 'Audi Parking System Plus' that adds visual parking (as well as front sensors)

Has anyone been able to add the display using a Vag com mod?

you need to have the camera which is mounted just above the license plate

Are you sure? I've seen it fitted in another B8 - on the display, you didnt get an actual video link of the car reversing, just red coloured blocks around an outline drawing of the car to visually show if you were clsoe to something.

That was likely not an S4. The S4 has a color camera.

Yes, it is an option available in Europe (rear sensors, or Audi parking system Plus or rear view camera).
I have the Audi system Parking Plus on my S4 Avant


But no idea how to add the display...

The below apparently works on an A6, but I haven't tried to see whether the same or something similar will work for an S4. Might give it a go tonight.

Open Module [76] - Parking Aid

Short Coding:
0?xxxxx: Optical Illustration
0 = without Optical Illustration in Display
2 = with Optical Illustration in Display

Save changes, then enable Graphic display in MMI under the Parking menu.

I couldn't get it to work. There is a "Park Assist active" option in the long coding of the "Park/Steer Assist" module, and also a "Park Assist Optical Display active" option in the "Radio" module - which for non-nav cars is essentially the MMI, but I get an out of range error when I try to select either one. Would need rlarsen or davidB8 to assist with this one as it's way beyond my level of vagcom expertise (can't be selected as a simple long coding option).
