We had a few minor electrical oddities (a seat heater turned itself off, the air con changed its setting, and the parking brake warning light briefly appeared). We didn't think much of it but now the camera and sensors have completely failed. There is a high-pitched beep when you put the car into reverse or press the parking button, but there is no camera picture and none of the proximity sensors work.

Any ideas what it might be before I take it in? Cheap-to-fix problems preferred!

It's a 2011 6MT.

Nope. Oh and it's done about 35,000 miles; I bought it new.

A weak battery could be putting different modules into power save mode.

How OLD is your car? Your battery is older. There have also been problems with the wiring harnesses. My rear camera doesn't work every so often. Others with this problem had the wiring harness replaced and it solved the problem. Mine is so infrequent that I have not the inclination to get it fixed. Plus. if I take it into the dealer, it will most likely work fine.

The camera/sensors have always worked reliably and now they have not worked at all for the last three days, so while I'd like to be positively surprised it does not feel like a glitch that will sort itself. The car is 4.5 yrs old.

Battery would be the first thing I would check.
