Car smelling gasoline cold start
Hi, I'm French and I discovered this forum. I have a B8 S4 and I have a problem when I start cold. The car smells like gasoline yet I have no leaks. Cold and also it takes time to start. I make it clear that the smell of gasoline is outside the vehicle and not in the cockpit.
Can you please help me?
Thank you google translate

The car runs rich while cold to help it heat up faster. Mine will smell like gasoline briefly too if I start the car with my garage door closed.

Long cranks when cold for startup are a normal thing with these cars - they start much more quickly when warm. It also may be a result of it cranking extra long without firing up that is making it extra rich on a cold start and having you smell the fuel.

It depends - the longer cranking is very normal with these cars and a little gas smell also is normal, if you have a lot of gas smell, then not so normal. If you post a video of the long starting, we can tell you if that seems normal.
