I believe he is referring to the plastic caps that go over the lug nus on the 19"peelers. that requires a special tweezers like tool. An Allen wrench can be used to remove the center caps on the 18" wheels. I took the plastic caps off of my lugs. They seem to serve no purpose.

Yeah looks like you're right. I was referring to the center caps.

Okay so here is an update

I changed all the tires and successfully put the DWS on. Looks great!!

2 things happened that...well to put it lightly....ruined my day

#1. I noticed in my LF wheel there is a nail pushed completely into the tire. It is not leaking (it is flush with the tire so it must have formed a seal). What are your thoughts...get it patched or get a new tire?

#2. When loading one of the tires onto my rack that I bought from Tire Rack I dropped one of the tires by mistake and it fell on a couple items below causing a few gash marks on the wheel. I know I don't have any pictures (yet) for you guys to see but they are no bigger than half a dime. There are about 4-5 gash marks. Do you think this is something that can be resurfaced if done at an appropriate place?

I would get the tire patched before you find yourself on the side of the road doing a spare tire swap.

I had my wheel "fixed" when the carwash ruined the outer edge of one of my 19" wheels. The guy did a great job, couldn't even tell it was ever scratched. For me "issues" don't go away. While you have your other set of wheels on, I'd use this time to get it fixed.

I know, I felt so bad doing it. It was a hand wash but had a rack to move the car through. Was definitely not worth the aggravation..... I've learned my lessen.

My wife takes her brand new X3 through the automatic car wash, makes me cringe thinking about it. She says that why she got a Silver one, lol!
