Seems tiny when comparing to others I've had in other vehicles. I have a standard pair of Oakley shades and I couldn't even get the compartment to close. Perhaps I need more practice?!?

It is not you. It is too small to be useful.

Yes, it's absolutely too small. I have two pairs of Smith sunglasses and neither one comes close to fitting in there.

I had exactly the same feeling with my newbie S4. I thought "ahh great, finally a sunglasses holder" (old A4 did not have one). Tried my Serengeti's and it wasn't even close to a mind bending spacial test....it was never going to work from the moment they designed that enclosure.

Yep, neither my wife nor I can fit our shades in there.

I guess I'm one of the few that actually use it. My Ray-Bans fit just fine, with room to spare.

I am also one of the few that have no problem with the holder. MY REVO glasses fit easily. Maybe they've cut back on the size since 2012?
