It is very clear at the end of the sound clip. Can't figure it out and it's driving me crazy! Only mods are Roc-Euro intake and AWE exhaust with non-resonated downpipes.

I "think" I hear it.

A very faint "screech" at the very end of the audio? If this is the sound..I'm guessing it is the supercharger belt slipping a little when the throttle is backed off abruptly.

im not talking about the supercharger. im talking about that metallic rattling sound when its accelerating. just ignore the exhaust sound and in the background you should be able to hear a strange vibration sound. i guess it sounds faint in the recording but its a bit louder in person.

Did you figure this out? My car has a weird sound on acceleration only.

I did hear a Hiss, but that was it. If your hearing a metallic sound it may be a bad cat core, AKA muffler bearing.

it still makes the noise but since it is winter and the windows are rolled up i dont really notice it as much.

moto-one, so you don't hear something that sounds like a vibration towards the end of the sound clip? i'm really not sure how else to describe it, to me it kinda sounds like the machine gun sound effect i used to make as a kid. when you push the tip of your tongue against your front teeth and blow air pressure through, like a tik-tik-tik sound.

honestly im pretty dumbfounded that no one seems to really know or even acknowledge what im talking about. i know some engines (so far i've only heard it on v8's) make a similar type of sound but it usually sounds more like a crackling noise to me, like on the big engine jags, etc. so i'm not completely ruling out that the sound i'm referring to is totally normal, but i've owned and heard many different exhausts and can't remember hearing anything like this. they have mostly been v6's though on japanese imports so maybe this is a normal characteristic of european/german cars. i have not heard enough of them to say for sure, but if it is normal i would certainly feel better and appreciate it if others would chime in and say "it's normal, my car makes the same noise".
