Sport diff vs Driver select on 2012, few Qs
I test drove a 2012 S4 glacier white. last time i had so much fun was during the 911 launch event .
The DSG shift speeds were super fast and burps were lot of fun
.
Even in damp the car stuck like glue , I thinks it is due to diff in corners and sales guy also said quattro is better at managing traction over bmw X drive - not sure how far it is true or just a sales pitch
It had the buttons to change to dynamic , auto etc. The sports diff was definetly there but not sure if drivers selcet which is a 3900 option was in the car .
Audi usa says : sports diff gives you diff and driver select options for engine and transmission calibration
few q's for owners
so the things you get additionally with the 3900 option is suspension adjustment and steering calibration with sports diff included?
worth the extra 3k for suspension only ?
on my test drive the auto to dynamic seems to change the steering feel though , think it had to have had audi drivers select ?
Need some feedback on Glacier white vs IBIS white vs black , all with titanium package, which looks the best? glacier looked like a dull IBIS but it was a rainy day
heated seats eve on setting 6 didnt get too warm on nappa seats, do they work well?, last Q, Nappa vs alcantara? never had alcantara, sales guy has his s4 in that and he thinks it grips better, still easy to maintain and heated seats work better on alcantara
I want a 2012 prestige with sports diff, on the fence on color, nappa vs alcantara, suspension option and shades
Sorry guys too many questions but S4 test drive was realy exciting, appreciate owner feedback in choosing my s4
Thanks

@smjc2012 welcome to the forum. There have been several threads discussing ADS vs SD. Here is a wonderful description posted by another member

I personally love my ADS and I'm happy I got it.

Thanks for the Quick reply and the link, awesome explanation of the differences. I think my test car only had sports diff.
Looking for feedback on my other Q's.

I've owned several Acura's myself and my wife is currently in one. The heated seats there on high are much hotter than my car on level 6. (I have nappa) I don't mind the sacrifice because the Acura wouldn't maintain the heat on high as it would fade in and out on all the models I've owned. Whereas the S4 on level 6 is warm and consistent. I do agree they could be hotter =/
