Has anyone had this speckled on their paint before?
From the color it appears to be rust. But it's also on the plastic bumper cover in the rear. It's most prevalent on the trunk by the plate. But it's also on the side behind and in front of the wheels. It seems to be getting more of it on the trunk and I can't get it off! I've used bug and tar remover and nothing. An auto body repair guy said Try gasoline and that didn't work. I'm not sure what to do! But it's pretty bad looking up close and it's killing me.
This is the best pic my phone could take off it:
Any help is greatly appreciated

It is usually little pieces of metal filings that get imbedded in the surface of the paint, usually from the car being transported by train, a good claybar session will usually pull it out.

Those are rust blooms. You need to deal with that.
Clay bar just shaves the particle down to the surface and leaves the rest embedded in the paint. Not a solution. You need something like FerreX or IronX to deal with that.

Most of these products are going to be mail order. I don't know of any similar product you can buy locally except for Meguiar's DUB wheel cleaner which will produce a similar effect.
I bought the FerreX product recently. It works really well.
I've found a disturbing amount of these blooms on our 2015 Q5:
