Highest Mileage?
#11
I'm at 99,500 miles on my 2010. I had the T stat changed...2 sets of plugs a couple sets of tires and nothing else. Not burning oil and DSG is shifting like new. Zero concerns about this car as a DD. I'm planning on keeping it until 150,000.
I've had APR tune for almost 75,000 miles. Carbonio for about 50,000 miles.

My car's at the dealer right now. Apparently my DSG software on was version 8, and the newest is version 12. They brought it up to version 12, let's see how it drives.

Is there a way to find out what version software your DSG is at? I just had my 15k service on my '12 S4 and after reading this thread I'm not curious. I'm also very encouraged for using my S4 as a DD!

I unloaded my 10 at 85,000 km as I was having Stronic issues, otherwise it looked brand new. I was planning on running to 250,000 but $15,000 for a tranny out of warranty scared me. Good luck.

Highest mileage
I wanted to bump / refresh this thread to see what kind of miles folks have on their B8's / B8.5's now. Car runs great, and is still a daily driver. Uses slightly more oil then when mileage was low.
We have 120K miles on our 2010. Only non-maintenance items I had to deal with were unclogging the secondary air injectors at around 110K miles and a failed thermostat at around 112K miles (original thermostat was replaced at 10K due to recall). Anyone else?

2010 S4 mileage
I am up to 99,000 miles. Had to replace two more wheel bearings recently, that is 3 replaced out of 4. VW/Audi has wheel bearing life dialed in to just beyond warranty period. The only reason for bearings needing to be replaced on a $50,000+ car is fatter service profit for the OEM. The bearings didn't last 3,000 hours, which in the world of bearings is straight up pathetic premature failure. Had to replace bearings on my 78 Scirocco too, but that was a much cheaper car. Thanks for the Rant. My S4 it is now a second car not a DD. I plan to replace with a 2018 model. I will be fortunate to find a ride that I have enjoyed as much as this one.

Bump: Anyone hit 200K miles yet?
Our 2010 DSG S4 now has 154K miles on it. I changed the PCV (pressure control valve) Spring at about 120K miles which took care of the engine oil burning issue. The front wheels do make noise now (even on new tires), so I will be changing out those front wheel bearings shortly, then probably the rears come spring. I'm sorta surprised they lasted this long (they are the original bearings); as I recall quite of few people on this forum having them replaced under warranty early on. I would like to hear about other high mileage B8 S4's along with higher mileage wear / repair items. Thanks.
