Default Larger crank pulley on B8 S4.

Could someone clarify an idea I have.
My B8 S4 has a Tuning box installed. I am pretty happy with the results.
What I am thinking is if I install a larger crank pulley (JHM for example) and leave the bypass valve set at the factory level, will the maximum boost come in earlier in the rev range. My thoughts are with the factory bypass valve at factory level there shouldn't be an increase in boost but the maximum boost will be attained earlier in the rev range.
Is this a feasible idea or am I talking rubbish.

You may get a bit more boost down low. If you keep your tuning box hooked up and put it on its max settings you'll get even more boost. If you dont run the tuning box then by mid rpms your car will still have the same boost as stock, so 1/4 mile times wouldnt improve much. With the tuner box installed (assuming its working right) you'll see at least stage 1 levels of performance which is nice.

Or you could go with a kustomimports crank pulley. Better options then jhm. there are a few different sizes to choose from.
