Default Lease an S4 with 200 miles on it?

Hello,

I'm seriously considering taking advantage of the 2014 discounts out there and found the car I want. Only problem is that it has 200 miles on it. Should I be worried about 200 of potentially aggressive test drives?
(flooring it when engine is still cold, hard breaking on new breaks etc.)

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Black, I wouldn't be concerned about the 200 miles. These cars aren't nearly as fragile as we make them out to be.

However, I would ensure you cannot lease a 2015 for less. The lease companies regard the 2014 as one year old now.

Just enjoy it. I'd be more worried about the transport companies loading it on ships than anyone at the dealership abusing it.

Only if the price is right. Otherwise, get a 2015.

Thank you for your replies.

What's your opinion on the following deal:
2014 S4, MSRP $58,285, 10k miles, 36 mos lease:
Negotiated selling price $53000
MF 0.00032
Residual 55%
$3694 Down (+ tax)
Payment (pre tax) comes out to be $560
??

Any input will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Don't ever put any money down on a lease. If the car is totaled or gets flooded, that money is gone forever. Compare lease numbers between cars with zero down.

I agree at that price point put zero down. Based on the price and your residual I am guessing this is a DSG premium plus car? If you want to check if the car has been abused you can use VCDS to plug into the car and see if launch control was ever used. If not then you should be in good shape. If you see it used several times its likely been beat on a bit. Also if you get audi care it will bump your residual 1% point, not sure if that's worth it for you or not.

I ended up getting a '14 Black S4
MSRP: $57,585.00
Miles: 7,500
Term: 36 months
Down: $1550
Monthly + Taxes: $563
State: Florida

I am not good with car numbers, so I do not know:
MF: ??? - How can I find this out?
Residual: ??? - How can I find this out?

Mine had 400 miles on it when I leased it. It will be under warranty your entire lease so I would not sweat it.
