Default New S4: Purchase Advice

Hi Guys,

Drove the S4, 335i, and IS350 F sport today...S4 was hands down my favorite. Felt the most connected to the road (thought that'd have been the Bimmer!).

Anyway I'm interested in purchasing an S4 with the following equipment: Premium Plus model, Estoril blue paint, MMI, Sport Diff, Drive select, 19" wheels, side assist, and the aluminum/wood trim. Right now on a 3 year 36 month lease (15k miles per year) it's running just under $800 a month with 0 down (including taxes, title, tag, etc etc). Does that sound reasonable?

Also are there any other options I should consider? There's another car without the drive select, NAPA leather, or layered wood trim but that does have the B&O...though the MSRP is lower (due to a "popular equipment discount"). Which would you recommend?

Thanks for your help,
HDC.

Just some advice. Owners with Estoril Blue have made a lot of complaints about how easily the paint gets fine scratches and the difficulty of preventing it and then restoring the paint, I believe it is a $1000 option. For 2015, Audi has made Sepang Blue( which many like better) as an available standard option. Sepang cost $3000 in 2014 as an Audi exclusive option. Just something to consider. The Nappa leather is nice although many do like the Alcantera. I've had S4s with and without the B&O. Nice to have, not a deal breaker for me. My advice would be , if you can wait, order a 2015 to your exact specs. It will probably lease at a better number as well.

Thanks for the advice guys. I will take it into consideration and try to negotiate a better deal. Doug it sounds like you got a phenomenal deal - I have flawless credit but can't get near your money factor. Kudos!

Cheers,
HDC

You may need to go to a different dealer. It seems that some dealers are willing to deal and others not. The trick is finding the ones that do. But its really not that hard. Where are you located?

Totally agree with DrGP, gotta contact multiple dealers. I just took home my 2015 Audi S4 last week. During the initial negotiation, I contacted 5 different dealers in my area to get quotes on my special order. 2 out of the 5 really wanted my business and fought for it. At the end, I got $1850 below invoice on my purchase! Well worth it...

Thanks for the encouragement guys. We only have 2 dealers in my area and one has no S4s...but I managed to get a great deal regardless. But even sweeter than the deal is this Estoril Blue S4.

Car looks great. Enjoy. You may want to apply Optiguard to the finish to help protect the paint from scratching. Others may suggest some other product that works well on Estoril.

I just recently talked with an older S4 owner (mid 70's approx.) who owned an Estoril blue S4. I asked him if he had any problems with scratch's etc, as I had turned down a good deal on one and opted to remain with glacier white. His response was "I don't have my reading glasses on so if there are any I don't see them, so it doesn't bother me." Guess thats one way of looking at it.
