How did you mount your front plate to the grill?

Used toggle bolts and a slim license plate bracket. It's required in Illinois otherwise I would remove it.

I've been running with no front plate on most of my cars since 1983 in Illinois. Most cops don't care. Only been hassled a couple of times when stopped for speeding, but not ticketed those times. Stopped and ticketed once for no plate. Did a temp mount: showed the cops that it had a front plate; ticket voided, plate removed.
Three of our 4 cars don't have front plates the 4th has one because it had holes when I got it. Someday I'll get a new filler panel and deep-six that one too.
If you remember the last time they changed the plates in Illinois the rollout was delayed about 4 months. That was because they were going to punch only 1 plate per vehicle until someone with big power got involved and made them change their decision back to 2 plates. Our stupid legislature.

Proclip. A little pricy but gives it a stock look and very easy install.
