I've seen a few of them around my neighborhood but I've never taken one for a ride. I am curious to see how they compare to the S4 though.

I have had BOTH the DWS and the new DWS 06 -- there is an improvement with the "06" new technology. Here in Cincinnati where we have moderate, sometimes mild winters, these tires are about perfect, especially on a quattro.

I have driven the S3 -- it is, at this moment, probably a bit quicker than the S4, but the ride quality is beyond firm, it is harsh, perhaps even rough.

The S3, too, is decidedly an FWD-biased AWD car that has the ability to send power to the rear wheels.

I cannot believe it is, like the S4, rear biased.

Not being a track-type "S" class owner, I'd go for the S4 any day over the S3.

I believe the performance gap will be closed with the new S3, too.

Ok I'm definitely going to get a set of the 06 for this winter along with another set of wheels to mount them on

yeah totaly. just asked because the s3 feels more nimble and more evo-like.... s4 will be more planted/stable for highway speed. at a solid 4k and growing the s4 is becoming a fatty. enjoy
