S4 Snow Tires
Hello - I recently acquired a 2014 S4 & am looking to mount 4 snow tires on it for the winter. Would be interested in the following:
1) Suggestions as to which brand/model tries others have found to be good on the S4 and
2) Anyone have a used set of tires & wheels for sale?
Thank you

They are winter not snow tires. I use a set of stock 18" Audi S4 rims and mount 4 performance winter tires. I can't recall the make or model of the tire. I could check but they are buried in my garage. I have no idea where Hudson Valley is. If you are near Ellicotteville then I would suggest a more aggressive tire rather than a sports winter tire. Good luck with your search. Get them quick as they will be sold out if you wait for the snow to fall then begin your search.

I live in a ski town in the high rockies and I can tell you with certainty that the Bridgestone Blizzak tires are fantastic. I have been running them on my Audis for 10 years now

I have Blizzaks on 18 inch rims. Very happy with them. Was concerned they would be "numb" and "squishy". Actually while not as crisp as the summer tires, still very good. Car normally has 19's.

Yes, the debate between an 18" & 19" winter tire is one that will last a long time I'm sure. I have already priced tires & wheels from TireRack so I know that that is the top price & am hoping to find a set of pre-owned wheels though.
Growl2 - when mounting the 18" tires though, you must have to re-set the TPS, correct?

I have Michelin Alpine PA3s. Fantastic tire. I actually like them better than my stock summer ones (they are slightly noisier though.) Unless you get extreme snow, I'd stick with a performance winter tire.

I ran Michelin Alpin PA3s on OEM 18" wheels on my current A5 last winter in southwest Michigan, and will migrate them to my incoming S4 this winter. I can't speak for all climates and terrain, but they were fantastic on our relatively flat terrain even with pretty deep snow. We had a LOT of snow this winter, and I was one of the first cars plowing through the fresh stuff many mornings. They are no summer tire on dry roads, but other than being a bit noisy, they performed as well as my all-seasons when roads were dry.
