Just curious what folks are using in their cars as I need a new one. Phone is a Galaxy S7 (not the Edge!).

Looking for something that isn't overly bulky, but that doesn't require a magnet being stuck to the phone either!

I have the same phone and keep in the slot between the drivers seat and the cup holders.

In my car, I don't mount my phone. I sandwich it and the wallet into the slot next to the cup holders. In the wife's car I use proclip. First used the custom dash mount for her car, but she didn't like the position, so now we use the windshield suction cup mount. I have another suction cup mount and phone holder for when I'm traveling, so I can mount the phone in a rental car. I also used a proclip in my previous B7 S4.

I think proclip is about as good as it gets and doesn't look too much out of place. It's a two piece solution. You get the custom mount for your car model, usually there are a couple of options, and then you get the holder for your specific phone, which also usually has a few options such as with or without charger, with our without a phone case etc.. If you change the phone you only need to change the phone holder.

My boyfriend had one smartphone holder but he threw it away because it was not so convenient and had better to put his phone betwen the two front seats..

I have a $9.99 holder by wizgear.com Works like a treat but took me ever so long to find a decent sized Flat surface to mount it.

I am quite happy with my Konu. Holds my phone well and is barely noticeable when my phone is not in it.
