I got 7.5% off MSRP, playing on dealer off another, but very few dealers in CT. In other areas like CA or NY .NJ I wold expect higher discounts.this is for a 2015! not a 2014 leftover

If you are paying more than $1000 over dealer invoice you are paying too much. Many have purchased for $500 over invoice. It depends on the dealer. Some will discount and other not. The trick is finding those that do.

Back at the end of June, I payed 9% below MSRP for a 2014 off the lot. It didn't take much haggling, but I did have to seal the deal before qtr end, which made sense.
The car was in CT, but I got a better price from a dealer in NY who then had the car delivered to them and prepped.

Nice price!
Sounds like you did well price wise, by my calcs below invoice? I am trying to negotiate a deal myself and have pitched $500 over invoice less the $1500 loyalty. Wildcard it seems is exactly how much advertising fee is tacked on--Edmunds.com doesn't have that info and when I bought my wife a Q5 a couple of years back it seems like it was 800-900 or something thereaobuts. We'll see how my offer goes over.....will post an update when I have more info.
