Default Would my wife feel less secure with Akebono pads?

My wife loves our S4 because it accelerates quickly and brakes well. Would she feel a significant difference with Akebono pads? I understand they are very popular but offer slightly softer initial response.

Is the difference large enough vs standard brakes that a non-mechanically inclined person would feel it?

Akebono are less grabby, more linear, slightly more force.

She might feel a difference initially. After a week she won't feel the difference any more. She will adapt and the new feel will then seem normal. That is what happened to me when I changed to Stoptech ceramic. Best thing I ever did for this car. No brake dust, no squeal. Car stops just fine. Go for it.

I agree with DrGP 100%
Also, my wife found the OEM pads a bit too grabby for her.
