My S4 is in the plant and should be constructed by January 16! The only thing that is'nt so great is that the boat it will board will be on it's way to Canada on the second of February... :/

At least it's better than the 24th of Feb., which was the last date they gave me for the boat departure ^^

According to this VW logistics shipping schedule, there is a ship (Splendid Ace) that will pick up cars at Emden on January 26. If you car will go into production on Jan. 16, it should be done by January 20. There will be enough time for it to reach Emden and get loaded on the Splendid Ace which is schedule to reach Halifax (Canada) on Feb. 7.

There is no ship leaving Emden on Feb. 2/3. There is one on Feb. 6/7.

My S4 was on the production line on the week of Junuary second. It will be done by junuary 16 and the ship departure date on the page realy is the second of february...

The thing is, each and every time I asked my Audi representative to find out where they were at with my car, the date came closer and closer each time I asked (from one to two weeks). Maybe if it is done by Junuary 16 they will ship it on the Adriatic Highway? That would make sense, right?

Yes. Same thing happened to my special order S5. Initially, its ETA was mid-March. After a few months, it became late-Feb. Then, when it went into production, it became mid- Feb. My S5's production date was first week of January 2016. It arrived Feb. 14. I picked it up on Feb. 20.

The dates shown in their system are estimates. Those are not exact dates. If it says production complete by January 16, it will definitely be on the Splendid Ace which picks up cars and will be in Emden by Jan. 26.

As I mentioned in my previous post, the second of Feb. shipping date from Emden is just an estimate and it can change. There is no ship loading cars and leaving Emden on Feb. 2. It will only take two or three days to transport a car from the plant to Emden port depending on where it is built. I am guessing in Neckarsulm. It will only take 24 hours for a ship to be loaded with cars. Yes, it is that fast. Splendid Ace will dock at Emden on Jan. 26. You can track it through this website: https://www.vesselfinder.com/vessels...MMSI-431349000. Currently, it has just gone through the Suez Canal enroute to Emden, Germany.

Now, I am not insisting that your car will be on the Splendid Ace but the dates line up for a Jan. 26, departure from Emden. The departure dates and shipping duration will depend on sea conditions and weather.

My S4 is still not built. They don't know when it will be shipped eather, so I changed my mind and ordered an S5 sportback. I will have to wait some more but I will have the car that I want. Patience is a virtue I suppose.
