Did I miss something? Audi USA doesn't seem to be mentioning it anywhere. In contrast, the SQ5 and S5 are listed under future vehicles on their website. Also, the S5 Cabriolet was at the NAIAS... Why are they not mentioning the S4 anywhere?

I thought it was more of a timing issue, the A5, S5, SQ5 all will be released in the US before the S4...no? I'm figuring since those are generationally further behind and the sportback has more "wow" factor....there already is a B9 A4 and the top tier high performance 4-door A4 (read S4) is less exciting...or needs less marketing hype maybe?

Meh, I can see where you're coming from I guess. But the timing just doesn't quite make sense to me. Why would you be accepting orders for a car that you aren't even acknowledging exists? I could understand them taking orders for cars that are on the website as "future models", but for a car that just isn't there at all? Seems weird to me.

I'd blame it on AoA's marketing people. Expectation for the B9 S4 is at an all time high and they should take advantage of the drool and saliva-dripping anxiety of people lining up to buy/order them. Some people might just get tired of waiting or cannot wait any longer might decide to switch to a competing model from another brand.

The order guide for the US S4 is out. I am not sure if there is pricing yet but I have read several US forum members already placing their orders for it. For Canada, the S4 configurator is already available and there are a handful of members who are already expecting their cars to arrive February/March 2017. One or two Audi Canada dealers are already expecting some of their S4's to arrive within this month or early Feb.

There are S4s at port, don't know when they plan to release them though.

The S4 will be released before all of the vehicles you mentioned. The S4 was shown in near production form way back in September of 2015.

No clue. I agree that the release has been poorly publicized. It's like AoA doesn't want anyone to buy the S4.

This is true. My order finally arrived to US port yesterday. However it is on hold. We are suspecting the hold is due to Audi not officially releasing the car yet. I believe this since pricing isn't even available yet and the car literally has zero promotion. Also heard these cars are pending EPA approval. I think realistically we are looking at a Feb/March launch at this point. This is my first time purchasing a car at launch and not sure if this is the norm but the lack of info at this point and time is very odd.
